Workshop facilitator at the annual IEI Faith and Community Initiative Conference, “Rooted and Rising: Faith and Community in a Changing World“ in Greensboro, NC.

Shi will lead a key education session titled “Watering Each Other to Rise: Health & Wellness for Leaders,” alongside Resources for Resilience trainer, Victor Jones. The session is designed for community and faith leaders and will provide trauma-informed tools to help them sustain their work and build resilience in our communities.

The Faith and Community Initiative at IEI has existed in partnership with The Duke Endowment since 2015 to fold rural North Carolina faith leaders into local and statewide leadership on emerging issues. IEI invites rural faith leaders to our Emerging Issues Forum and our annual Faith and Community Conference. We provide technical assistance on community-congregation partnerships throughout the year.
